there's this cat that i've sort of adopted that lives around my house. i've noticed in the last few weeks that the skin near the base of her tail is flaking up in really huge flakes- with the fur still attached. she's been licking the area a lot, too. i know that it's a skin disease, but i don't know what disease exactly! help! ok there's a big open sore where the skin's flaked up, she sits oddly with her tail curled tightly around her feet rather that straight out like she normally does, the patch got bigger overnight and there's an identical patch on the other side of her tail, she hasn't been eating normally, but she's drinking more, she hasn't let me pet her at all since i noticed the first patch, my other cat isn't playing with her as much and is trying to lick the spot, and she's hiding more

My cat just got over an upper respiratory. Well he got a few very slight nose bleeds not enough to worry about...Well then I noticed his tongue is red on the tip. He hasnt been cleaning himself either. Could this be normal? Im asking on here because the vets is closed for the next 2 days and my bill is already racked up to $400 just someone help give me some ideas. he seems to REALLY be scarfing down wet cat food so I dont think he has a loss of appetite. His nasal drainage has cleared up amazingly also. I am really just worried about the tip of his toungue. He did get into a fight yesterday maybe he bit it?
