Bad Cat Page-A-Day Calendar 2010 by CC Workman Publishing Amazon Price: $12.71 Customer Review: I bought this for a co-worker in a gift exchange. For a cat lover, each day is a hilarious joke of acknowledgement and reminiscence. It's the, "I remember when Whiskers did that!" or "That's just li...
Smitten: A Kitten's Guide to Happiness by Rachael Hale Amazon Price: $16.49 Customer Review: This is one of those books, that is completely and utterly unnecessary, but I love it anyway! The pictures are fantastic and I could look at them over and over! The sayings are cute and funny. It's a ...

"Lacy is 21 this year (2007). She was my xmas present in 1986 when she was 8 months old. She loves tuna and also eats table scraps (all types of meats) and has been coming away on weekends since 1990 with us. Her favourite past time is sitting in front of the wood stove at our cabin or the gas fireplace at our townhouse in Victoria. She was an excellent mouse and mole catcher at the cabin over the years, but doesn't go out much anymore unless its sunny out. "

"These are shots of Willow, born May 03, 2004 and we got him in July. He is a very placid cat, but not a lap cat. We were a little worried as there are two cats living next door for the last few years but we should not have worried he rules the back garden."

"Since you're looking for photos of people's cats, I thought I'd send in this one of one of our cats, Isis. Isis is now four years old and the baby in a three-cat household. She loves climbing on top of cupboards as you can see in my picture of her. She's very quiet but very affectionate. Our oldest cat, Edith, has never liked her and frequently chases her about the house."

This is Kira who, apparently, is part Burmese. Somewhat aloof, she tends to keep to herself most of time. Stroking is on her terms - too much and the claws come out. Definitely the smarter of my two cats, she's also a brilliant mouser. She likes to assert her authority over Fritz on occassion with a right-hook to the face, especially when he oversteps the bounds by eating from her food bowl.
She has a repuatation of being dangerous among my friends (and the local vet) who usually treat her with kid gloves. Doesn't like being patted like a dog (as one dog-person friend used to do - but not for long!)
Loves me and nobody else.

Fritz was a tough cat to name. I got him from a rescue center when he was about 10 weeks old. As a kitten he poked his nose into everything and he may well be the most curious kitten I've come across. That sort of gave rise to his name in some strange way.
He's what you'd call a "gentle soul" - there isn't a mean bone in his body. Doesn't have much of a killer instinct and is a lousy mouser. His idea of fast reaction times is to thwap at something that passed by two seconds earlier.
When he gets fed up with Kira's domineering ways, he'll run off and lie in ambush and, when she saunters by, launches his attack. He's perfected Sumo-style wrestling tactics with her over the years. Can pretty much hold his own in a scrap with her. All that fur flying fills up a hoover pretty fast!
Loves everybody but me especially.

How do I start a cat registry? (Answers: 1) (Comments: 0)
The idea is to get local cat owners to send me a photo of their cat. I could also collect cat photos of strays handed in. I may be able to find a match some times and reunite the cat with its owner.
I could also collect photos of dead cats found in the road etc. While this will not get the cat back at least the owner would at least know the outcome of a lost cat,
